A recent report from the U.S. government estimated that approximately 27 million individuals globally are victims of human trafficking. It is crucial to safeguard their fundamental human rights and create an environment that fosters their ongoing development while shielding them from the world's atrocities. Currently, despite the existence of various laws and government policies aimed at improving the conditions for these individuals, numerous obstacles remain. Consequently, there is a pressing need to cultivate a deeper understanding of such issues to ensure effective solutions.
