This study aimed to assess the resilience of Mali in the context of food security, given its status as a member of the Sahel region. Like many developing economies, Mali is characterized by a significant portion of its economy in the primary sector, with agriculture contributing 37% to its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of 837 per capita in 2018, as reported by the National Institute of Statistics. By conducting a comprehensive review of existing literature and conducting in-depth field research, we aimed to shed light on the challenges of food security in a state of flux. Our findings emphasized Mali's ability to tackle food insecurity, despite the difficulties posed by its harsh environment.
