Motivation: Prostate coils have become more efficient due to advancements in imaging. Currently, prostate coils struggle with tuning, matching, sensitivity, resolution, and SNR, while a novel 5-channel wireless array offers self-tuning, self-decoupling, and enhanced SNR. Goal(s): This study aims to develop a prostate array that is operated wirelessly, compact size, self-tuned, self-decoupled, and offers optimal SNR at 3T. Approach: Through extensive electromagnetic simulations, we optimized the coil's performance, achieving a uniform field distribution and excellent optimum decoupling. Results: The proposed 5-channel wireless array achieved -20 dB decoupling efficiency between adjacent coils, showing a 55% to 108% SNR increase per channel over traditional flexible coils. Impact: The proposed 5-channel wireless array offers a compact, self-decoupled, and efficient design that enhances SNR and field uniformity for prostate imaging, improving diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes while addressing limitations of current coils.
