Motivation: The precise assessment of the efficacy of preoperative neoadjuvant chemotherapy in osteosarcoma is important for clinical decision making, which requires the consideration of complex factors. Goal(s): To investigate the ability of time-dependent diffusion MRI with Imaging Microstructural Parameters Using Limited Spectrally Edited Diffusion (IMPULSED) model in quantifying cell size in different osteosarcoma models. Approach: Quantifying cell size in the osteosarcoma models using IMPULSED method. Results: It was found that IMPULSED imaging can precisely quantifying cell size in different osteosarcoma models, which may be a new tool for detecting status of osteosarcoma. Impact: IMPULSED method may be one of the tools for accurate and noninvasive evaluation of the efficacy of preoperative neoadjuvant chemotherapy in osteosarcoma patients, which helps to adjust the medication in time and observe the tumor progression.
