The article examines the pedagogical aspects of including Russian piano music in the training of students at music universities in China. A comprehensive analysis of the scientific literature on the topic is given. The problems in mastering musical opuses by Russian composers are identified, and the directions of experimental work are defined. The measures proposed by the author (the introduction of combined modular programmes and digital instruments, etc.) are aimed at Chinese musicians’ adequate perception of piano works by Russian composers of the second half of the 20th century, and contribute to the disclosure of their deep educational and upbringing potential.
