In the context of the growing use of synthetic materials and the intensification of technological processes in the woodworking industry, the problem of static electricity is becoming particularly relevant. This work is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of the theoretical and practical aspects of the occurrence, accumulation and impact of static electricity in woodworking enterprises. The mechanisms of static charge generation, the factors influencing its accumulation, as well as the main characteristics of static electricity are considered. The danger of static electricity from the point of view of fire safety, the impact on the health of personnel and the impact on product quality is assessed. A set of measures is proposed, including the prevention of static charge formation, active neutralization and the use of personal protective equipment.
