In recent years, the integration of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) in the Bulgarian education system has become increasingly important. This approach not only unites these disciplines in a unified pedagogical space, but also encourages critical thinking and creative problem-solving. It also prepares students for the challenges of the modern world by applying skills necessary in the rapidly developing fields of knowledge. The study highlights the growing importance of STEM education by examining 15 innovative schools from across the country. It presents examples of best practices, including the creation of STEM centers, innovative lessons, and thematic weeks that promote a culture of innovation from an early age. The study concludes with the emphasized role of the STEM approach in promoting innovative thinking through the application of knowledge in real contexts and the development of problem-solving skills.
