In March 2017, a trial excavation was conducted east of the streambed of Na h al Z almon (Permit No. A-7965; map ref. 245900–10/751690–700; Fig. 1), prior to cultivation of the agricultural land of Kibbutz Ginnosar. The excavation, on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority, was directed by A. Mokary (field and finds photography), with the assistance of Y. Lavan (administration), R. Liran (surveying), D. Avshalom-Gorni (pottery), H. Tahan-Rosen (pottery drawing), A. Shapiro (petrography and micro-mineralogy; see Appendix) and workers from Kafr Manda.
