This study explored gender equality education teaching methods in the context of the 2022 revised practical arts education curriculum. By analyzing the curriculum, achievement standards for gender equality education for 5th~6th grade elementary school students, and UNESCO Comprehensive sexuality education guidelines, a teaching plan was developed. The analysis revealed that the 2022 revised curriculum aligns with all areas of gender equality education achievement standards for 5th~6th grade students, except for standard Ⅱ-2. Similarly, it aligns with all core concepts of comprehensive sexuality education, excluding concepts 7 and 8. This suggests a significant relationship between practical arts education and gender equality education. In order to develop teaching materials based on these findings, the study drew upon the 2022 revised practical arts curriculum achievement standards: 'Human Development and Leading Life' (6:02-01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07), 'Technical Problem Solving' and innovation' (6:03-02), and 'sustainable technology and convergence' (6:04-02, 03). These materials also incorporated areas 1-6 of comprehensive sex education, excluding Ⅱ-2 in gender equality education. The developed class materials were designed to integrate gender equality education into various areas such as family, career, dietary life, clothing, and technology. Each lesson can be taught independently or in conjunction with others. This study represents an initial exploration of gender equality education teaching methods in practical arts education. Future research should involve applying these methods to elementary school students in order to analyze their effects on reducing gender stereotypes, improving awareness of gender equality, and influencing behavioral and practical skills.
