The high technical-economic direction of the country's energy potential is analyzed in the article. In particular, energy saving in thermal power plants and improving the efficiency of power use in hydroelectric power plants. It is shown that as a result of the implementation of technologically new types of thermal power plants, the average cost of natural gas consumed by the industry decreased by 2.2%. The article also shows that in the case of a 10% increase in the electricity produced as a result of the reduction of additions in the regulatory HPPs, in the country, 526 million kWh of additional electricity will be received in 2021, which is equivalent to two other capacity power plants, such as Khramhesi 1 (In 2021, it generated 210 million kWh) and Jinvalhesi (In 2021, it generated 304 million kWh). 300-350 mt can be obtained if the losses in small hydroelectric plants are reduced by 10%.
