This is an analytical cross-sectional study with the objective of evaluating immunization associations, anthropometric indicators and food and nutritional insecurity in 100 children treated at a Basic Health Unit in São Luís-Maranhão. Sociodemographic data, anthropometry, vaccination data and the Brazilian Food Insecurity Scale were collected. Stata® 14.0, chi-square tests and binary logistic regression were used at a significance level of 5%. There was a predominance of adequate weight for age (85,1%), adequate height for age (99%) and high BMI-for-age (75%), with 34.4% of severe cases. The results show statistically significant associations (p < 0.05) for sociodemographic variables (income), social and health data (access to government benefits and basic food basket) and clinical and immunological data (COVID infection for parents and children), which are considered determining factors in the increase in IAN.
