In this paper, I proposed that the perspective of housing cooperatives in developed countries could provide a solution to the problems of an aging society and regional hollowing out that we face. Introducing the case of housing cooperatives in developed countries, in rental business, sales business, and housing management business, members with common needs (common needs) invest to form a cooperative, and democracy and rule of law are maintained in the organizational structure. A recent success case(“We Stay Byeolnae Housing Cooperative”) provides important implications. First, the same problems as existing housing associations were structurally prevented. Second, in order to pursue Aging In Space, a more local, lifestyle-oriented and age-mixed method was reflected from apartment construction to community operation.
