This study investigates the effect of accounting information on share prices of listed Deposit Money Banks (DMBs) in Nigeria. The study adopts a panel data approach covering the period from 2014 to 2023 and utilizes metrics such as Earnings Per Share (EPS), Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Investment (ROI) as proxies for accounting information as independent variables. Share price serves as the dependent variable, representing market valuation. Data were sourced from the annual reports and accounts of the selected listed DMBs and analyzed using multiple regression techniques. The findings reveal that accounting information exhibit varying degrees of significance and explanatory power in predicting share prices, EPS is the most influential determinant of share price for Nigerian Deposit Money Banks, reaffirming its central role in investor decision-making and market valuation. ROA and ROI while directionally positive, exhibit weaker statistical relevance, suggesting that investors may assign lesser importance to these indicators.. The study recommended that there is a need to prioritize strategies that enhance earnings per share, as it significantly influences investor perception and share price performance.
