The article discusses sharing economy in transport car sector. It addresses the history of thedevelopment and forms of shared mobility and the challenges that local governments andtransport companies face in this area.Methodology: The authors used analysis of the literature. The adopted methodologicalstrategy involved the snowball sampling method, which identifies scientific articlesaddressing shared mobility. Industry studies and quantitative analyses of open statisticaldata from databases such as the Local Data Bank of the Central Statistical Office (LDB)and Statista were also used.Results: The research indicates that the main challenges for local governments and transportcompanies regarding shared mobility include the lack of common legal and organisationalregulations, balancing public and private interests, infrastructure issues, and psychologicalbarriers.Main contribution of the paper: The article highlights the importance of shared mobility intoday's economic reality, considering changing trends, consumer attitudes, and sustainableeconomic development.
