Abstract Inverse dynamic analysis is the estimation of unknown applied forces and moments on a multibody model that when applied to a forward dynamic model will closely match measured data. In addition to the models being nonlinear , this analysis is made more difficult when the multibody model is unstable. This paper presents an inverse method that address these difficulties.
