The article explores issues related to the effectiveness and application of mediation legislation in the Russian Federation. The author analyzes various problems associated with the functioning of the mediation institution in the Russian Federation. The author offers a number of recommendations and measures to improve the implementation of mediation legislation, including educational programs to increase awareness of mediation among the population, establishment of standards and licensing for mediators, as well as attracting government support and regulation of mediation in various areas of societal life.
