The article reveals methodological approaches to the development of ideas among Chinese vocal students about the intonation nature of music of the European tradition. A practical solution of methodological approaches to training Chinese vocalists is proposed, taking into account the contact of Chinese and European traditions in the educational process. The methods of pedagogy of musical education (creating an artistic context, recoding, musical generalization) are highlighted, which are aimed at developing among students the perception of the intonation expressiveness of European music and the meaningful performance of vocal works. Examples of the application of this complex of methods in vocal classes of vocal class students at Jiling Pedagogical University are given.
