The Role of Islamic Boarding Schools in Character Formation Generation Z in Indonesia

The objectives of this research are: (1) What are Islamic boarding school learning methods in educating santri? (2) What is the role of Islamic boarding schools in forming the character of Generation Z? This research method uses qualitative research and uses a literature study approach, with the aim of seeing and describing the role of Islamic boarding schools in forming the character of students by looking at various sources. The conclusion of this research shows that Islamic boarding schools use several methods, one of which is teaching the Yellow Book and providing role models in the boarding school environment. Character cultivation can be formed because there is good interaction between the kyai and the students.
