• Transcending pilot findings demonstrate that it is possible to directly target proximal minority stressors and that these are malleable to change among transgender and gender diverse (TGD) individuals. • The present results show support for both treatment acceptability from participant perspectives, as well as proof-of-concept for the intervention. • Participants endorsed: (1) feeling less alone and being more connected to other TGD individuals; (2) increased ability to cope with and challenge minority stress cognitions through increased cognitive flexibility; (3) increased sense of hope about the future; and (4) an increased sense of confidence in themselves. • These preliminary findings provide the necessary data and support for a larger scale clinical trial for this vulnerable population, where improved and targeted interventions are critically warranted.
