Today, the Kyrgyz Republic faces the acute question of forming sustainable foundations for consolidating societal civil identity. Addressing this issue occurs amidst an identity crisis, caused not only by global processes but also by the dissolution of the previous society. This necessitates the development of philosophical and methodological foundations and socio-philosophical reflection on the processes occurring in the sphere of Kyrgyz civil identity, which also justifies the legitimacy of scientific inquiry in the chosen direction. This article examines theoretical and methodological approaches and problems in studying civil identity and the factors influencing its formation in society.
