We present our recent research on an OWPT network system for multiple acoustic emission (AE) sensors using 808 nm laser diodes (LDs) and silicon-based photovoltaic (PV) cells. A Bluetooth network was used for data and control communication between the sensors and control PC, and a galvanometer was used to control the direction of the laser beam and supply power to each AE sensor module. Based on the results of this study, a GaAs-based PV cell was introduced as the optimal PV cell for the OWPT network system for multiple AE sensors, and the design of the PV cell epi-structure and top electrode pattern was carried out.
