Background: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a set of tools used by the workforce to protect all or part of the body against possible potential hazards. One of them is the use of PPE on oil palm harvest workers at PT. X. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) can reduce the occurrence of workplace accidents. From the initial survey conducted at PT. X there are still workers who do not use PPE because they feel uncomfortable and the assumption that PPE slows down the work process of employees. Objective: To find out the factors related to the use of PPE on oil palm harvest workers at PT. X Method: The research method used is a quantitative method with a cross sectional design. The number of respondents taken was 50 people and the implementation of the research was carried out in 2023. Data collection of questionnaires were analyzed in univariate, bivariate and multivariate forms. Result: Based on the statistical results obtained, this study shows that the variable of knowledge with the use of PPE does not have a significant effect on oil palm harvest workers. This is due to lack of understanding by workers. Attitudes have a significant positive effect on the use of PPE on oil palm harvesting workers. This is because there is a positive attitude that can have a positive impact, while comfort does not have a significant effect on the use of PPE. Conclusion: From this study, it can be concluded that the factors that have a relationship with the use of PPE are attitude factors. This is because attitude factors can affect caring attitudes towards the use of PPE. While the factors that do not exist have no relationship with the use of PPE are knowledge and comfort factors.
