First person – Eleni Christoforidou

ABSTRACT First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Disease Models & Mechanisms, helping researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Eleni Christoforidou is first author on ‘ An ALS-associated mutation dysregulates microglia-derived extracellular microRNAs in a sex-specific manner’, published in DMM. Eleni is a Research Fellow in the lab of Prof. Majid Hafezparast at Sussex Neuroscience, School of Life Sciences, University of Sussex, Brighton, UK, and is interested in identifying biomarkers for the prognosis and progression of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
