Theoretical aspects of the formation and development of the financial and credit mechanism of the agro-industrial complex have been studied. The specifics of credit relations in the field of agricultural production are determined. The market for credit resources of subjects of the agro-industrial complex and the possibilities of expanding financial relations in agriculture are analyzed. The current practice of providing agricultural enterprises with borrowed funds by credit institutions is analyzed. The process of transformation of state policy to support the formation and development of the agricultural sector with credit resources is analyzed and the need to make appropriate changes is substantiated. Practical measures are proposed to eliminate gaps in the existing practice of financial and credit relationships between subjects of the agro-industrial complex and credit institutions.
