In this article, the importance of organizing independent work in the process of education and upbringing of students. In order to prepare students for independent work, the effective results of using the "Coaching" method, which is widely used in foreign education, and the criteria for evaluating students' independent work in the credit-module system for studying the topics covered in the "History of Pedagogy" module will be highlighted.
