Conversion – process of naming the verbal bases in the Akathist text. Interpretation difficulties

Nominalization is a process to which the languages of the world show varying degrees of sensitivity. In Romanian, this linguistic phenomenon registers an increased productivity. The main nominalization pattern is represented by the transition of verbal bases to the noun class. In the current work, we approached a less frequent procedure for nominalizing verbal bases - conversion. It is known that the main way of nominalizing verbal bases is suffixation (primarily by attaching the long infinitive suffix -re, followed by the agent suffix -tor and others). Our article deals with conversion as a procedure for nominalizing verbal radicals, using the Orthodox hymnographic text as an example material. The main problem that emerges from the analysis of the excerpted examples is the differentiation of the participle from the supine as a basis for nominalization.
