The Masculine Data Contradicts: The Reading of the Opinions of Sheikh Haydar Habibullah and the Opinions of Other Imami Scholars

The topic of contradiction is one of the important topics that enters into various fields of Islamic sciences, and among the sciences that have not been free from conflicting data is the science of rijal (the study of narrators of hadith). This led to extensive and individual research in this science. A group of theories has been developed to address contradictions in the data of rijal, such as presenting absolute criticism or vice versa, and other theories that we have reviewed in the research, especially the theories attributed to the contemporary researcher Sheikh Haydar Habib Allah. We have reached a fundamental conclusion, which is that it is not possible to adopt a specific rule from the rules of contradiction until we specify our foundation in the validity of the statement of narrators, because expressing an opinion on the rules of contradiction among narrators cannot be done in isolation from those underlying principles and theories in the validity of the statement of narrators and its consideration.
