In the modern world tourism enterprises require specialists with a knowledge base and practical skills and abilities to work with clients. Over the past decade there has been a tendency to consolidate tour operator and travel agency networks, which causes a high demand for managers in the tourism sector. On the other hand, in order to be successful in this profession an employee must have a set of competencies and other qualities. Every year the list of requirements for candidates for this position is updated with new qualities and skills, among which employers indicate as mandatory the availability of higher education in the field of tourism, as well as work experience in this area. The purpose of this article is to study the theoretical aspects of recruitment and training of personnel at a tourism enterprise and to develop an internship program for new employees. An internship can be one of the forms of employment for university graduates. To date internships at enterprises in the tourism industry are considered one of the most productive methods of training qualified personnel.
