Recent years have witnessed the extensive use of AI in various sectors. The power sector is not an exception to it From mobile phones to wearables and from home UPS to green energy grids, batteries are used everywhere. Hence, AI can be used to improve the efficiency of batteries. This study explores the applications, algorithms, and optimization methods that have been developed in this dynamic area. Unparalleled efficiency, sustainability, and grid reliability improvements can be achieved by integrating AI technologies with smart charging and battery management. This research study aims to present an understanding of the basic principles of smart charging and battery management and their role in developing the energy landscape. Also, this study provides a detailed analysis of AI applications in different devices, such as electric vehicles, renewable energy integration, portable electronics and energy storage systems in microgrids. Finally, this study analyzes the real-world cases and successful implementations to assess the practical benefits and capabilities of AI-driven solutions. Along with many benefits, there are various limitations and addressing those is very important to enhance safety, reliability, and environmental sustainability.
