Linguistic Landscape is a relatively new research method which deals with the language that is visible in public space as a writing or an image.At the same time, Linguistic Landscape is understood from the perspective of foreign language didactics as a possibility to mediate the life and institutions as well as the language of the target country in foreign language teaching.The research presented in the paper shows the possibilities of using the Linguistic Landscape method in German language teaching in the region of Upper Silesia.
