This study focused on the influencing factors of smartphone addiction and difficulty with emotional regulation as a way to improve the adaptation of paramedic students to college life. Smartphone addiction and difficulty with emotional regulation mean an individual's negative psychological state, so we tried to find out the effects of mindfulness that can control individual psychology in a positive way, and whether each variable affects college life adaptation. Smartphone addiction and difficulty with emotional regulation had a positive correlation and were found to have a negative effect on college life adaptation. It was confirmed that mindfulness had a complete mediating effect between difficulty with emotional regulation and adaptation to college life. Therefore, in order to increase to college life, universities were proposed to strengthen smartphone addiction suppression programs, establish a system for linking acceptance and commitment therapy, and open liberal arts courses related to mindfulness meditation in universities.
