The article explores the issue of violent acts through the disclosure of the content of the term “illtreatment”, through which the objective side of the crime provided for in Article 156 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation can be carried out. The issue is highlighted by the author on the basis of a systematic analysis and interpretation of criminal law norms, the studied judicial practice of courts of general jurisdiction, explanations of the highest judicial instance, as well as the points of view of legal scholars expressed on the pages of the legal literature.
