High frequency and high bandwidth integrated circuits that interact with the electromagnetic spectrum in new ways continue to emerge. The first paper presents a record-breaking photonic transmitter, followed by a novel sub-THz radio that borrows techniques from photonics to receive quadrature modulated signals without a synthesizer, and this is followed by a paper that borrows techniques from machine learning to build a low power RF correlator. The next two papers use back-scatter techniques in very different ways; one for high speed, low power video streaming, the other for creating physically unclonable sub-THz ID tags.A high-frequency, wireless power delivery system rounds out the session.
