Creativity and innovation are vital for non-profit leaders navigating limited resources, shifting priorities, and complex community needs. This Teaching Paper introduces four structured creativity techniques—Brainstorming, Design Thinking, Six Thinking Hats, and the SCAMPER method—that can be easily applied to enhance idea generation, collaboration, and problem-solving. Each method is explained with step-by-step guidance and illustrated through real-world applications. By integrating these tools into leadership routines, non-profit organizations can cultivate inclusive, solution-oriented cultures that foster resilience and sustained impact.
