The article, based on unpublished documents from the funds of the State Archive of the Republic of Crimea, the Archival Department (municipal archive) of the administration of the city of Saki, the funds of the Museum of Local History and History of Mud Treatment of the city of Saki of the Republic of Crimea, examines the biography and fate of a little-known historical figure — Kuzma Grigorievich Petrichenko, a participant in the Great Patriotic War war and one of the leaders of the Saki underground organization (1942—1943). The author analyzes the forms and methods that the patriots of the Saki underground organization used in the fight against the Nazi invaders: intelligence operations, propaganda and agitation work, sabotage and subversive activities.
