The article contains an overview of the work of the Lomonosov Moscow State University International Scientific and Practical Conference “Encyclopedia: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow” (April 24-26, 2024), which was organized by the Institute of Mathematical Researches of Complex Systems (MSU). During the conference topical issues were discussed related to the creation of digital encyclopedias, to the development of information technology, of scientific information processing methods. Solving these issues in order to optimize the modeling of digital encyclopedias is possible on the basis of mathematical and linguistic researches.
