Annotation. The processes of implementing artificial intelligence (AI) are studied as one of the key trends that opens up new opportunities for increasing the efficiency of learning, personalizing educational processes, and automating routine tasks, and also causes both interest and concern among researchers, educators, and students. The article reviews current developments in AI in education, analyzes their impact on the learning process, and provides potential challenges. The authors emphasize that the use of AI requires adapting educational programs, developing digital skills among teachers and students, and addressing ethical issues related to the use of technology. Additionally, attention must be paid to the quality of the educational content generated by AI. While artificial intelligence is capable of processing information quickly, its algorithms are limited and may not always provide innovative solutions or insight of learning tasks. The analysis of research, particularly the works of Yann LeCun and Peter Norvig, highlights the great potential of AI in education. In addition, it is noted that Ukrainian researchers have also made a significant contribution to the development of methods for using AI in the domestic educational environment. The article examines adaptive learning platforms such as Coursera, Khan Academy, and Duolingo, which use machine learning algorithms to individualize the learning process and are able to automatically generate additional tasks for students and assess their knowledge, which contributes to improving learning outcomes. The importance of finding a balance between the use of innovative technologies and preserving the key values of the educational process aimed at the development of the individual and society as a whole is analyzed.
