This study proposes the development of an in-depth beauty therapy curriculum focusing on the customer experience of active seniors through in-depth interviews. In the future, the educational program will be expanded and applied to more diverse age groups. The purpose of this study is to contribute to the pursuit of the qualitative development of the beauty therapy service industry. The research method is a qualitative study using the objective sampling method. It is a semi-structured questionnaire, and in particular, it was numerically classified based on keywords in the categorization process. As a result, it was investigated that the service provider’s practical competency (quality, expertise, skills) is required, focusing on the emotional needs (empathy, trust, and kindness) of active seniors. Accordingly, this study seeks diversity based on the case of the UK to cultivate beauty therapy professionals in Korea, and seeks to find a balance point between practice and theory. It is required to adopt a method that combines PBL learning method, role-playing learning, and coaching-oriented feedback learning.
