Abstract This paper addresses the synchronization control problem for a group of autonomous agents with both nominal and uncertain general linear node dynamics. A dynamic observer‐based protocol is developed to achieve synchronization for agents with nominal dynamics, using relative information between neighboring agents. For agents with uncertain linear node dynamics, we propose both Luenberger and dynamic observer‐based protocols. Simulation results are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed designs. Additionally, the effectiveness of the redundant matrix is analyzed.
