An investigation was conducted into the properties of concrete incorporating Rice Husk Ash (RHA) as a partial substitute for Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC). The research employed a control mix (0% RHA) and replacement levels up to 25% by weight. The results demonstrated an inverse relationship between the RHA content and both the compacting factor (indicating reduced workability) and the compressive strength of the hardened concrete at all curing ages. Notwithstanding this overall trend, the M20 mix with a 20% replacement was identified as the optimal composition. The study concludes by advocating additional research to further elucidate the role of RHA in concrete.
