There is still a lack of accurate and stable numerical solvers for Fluid–Structure Interaction (FSI) problems involving violent fluid flows and large deformations of structures. This paper presents a novel Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) framework to model the strong interaction between fluid and structure through the consistent Fluid Structure Acceleration-based (FSA) coupling scheme. The Incompressible SPH (ISPH)-Total Lagrangian SPH (TLSPH) FSI solver is developed by coupling the ISPH fluid model, which implements the Dynamic Velocity-divergence Error Mitigating (DVEM) scheme to enhance the resolution for incompressible conditions, with the TLSPH-second-order Completeness (C2nd)-complete Riemann (cR) structural model, enabling accurate and stable computations. This solver can accurately and stably reproduce the phenomenon involving challenging nonlinear and finite-strain elastic responses. The proposed model is validated in three representative challenging FSI examples, demonstrating its encouraging capabilities in simulating the interfaces, flow vortices, and negative pressure regions around the structures.
