The article examines the influence of Sun Yat-sens teachings on the Three Popular Principles on the formation of Chinese Marxism and modern Chinese ideology. The authors analyze the influence of Sun Yat-sens ideas on political concepts used by modern Chinese politicians to consolidate the Chinese nation and ensure the sustainable development of the Chinese state. The authors conclude that such an influence has been traced since the emergence of the strategic alliance of the Kuomintang and the CCP in 1923 and has its own specifics based on Chinese interpretations of Marxist doctrine.
