The dispersed locations of andésite quarry stockpiles in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), Indonesia, have led to significant road damage due to heavy vehicle traffic. This study proposes the development of integrated stockpile locations to mitigate this infrastructural impact. The primary objective is to identify the most suitable sites for integrated stockpiles using a Geographic Information System (GIS) and a Multi-Criteria Analysis (MCA) approach. The methodology combined field surveys to collect primary data—including existing stockpile locations, road classes, production rates, and material sources—with spatial analysis using GIS software. Key criteria for site selection included conformity with regional spatial plans, existing land use, accessibility via main roads, proximity to mining sites (distance classification), and terrain slope. These criteria were weighted and integrated through map overlay techniques and a scoring system. The analysis identified eight potential alternative locations. The most optimal site was determined to be in Argosari Village, Sedayu Sub-district, Bantul Regency. The study concludes that GIS-based MCA is an effective and powerful tool for supporting spatial decision-making in mining logistics and regional planning. It is recommended that future research incorporates more comprehensive and varied criteria, such as environmental impact assessments and detailed socio-economic factors.
