The article substantiates the transformation of primary school teacher training in the context of the current and forthcoming educational policy documents required to implement engineering‑technological training (ETT). It analyzes regulatory acts, higher pedagogical education programs, and the requirements of primary general education. The study identifies deficits, conditions for implementation, expected outcomes, and projected ways to overcome the deficits, and specifies the disciplines and competencies needed to prepare future teachers to deliver ETT. It proposes pathways for transforming the content of teacher‑training programs, including the introduction of new courses and the modernization of existing curricula.
