The report 1 is based on data from the Association for Mental Health, which in turn refers to the National Board of Health and Welfare's cause of death register for 2012. However, an analysis of data I received from the National Board of Health and Welfare, shows that the increase in certain suicides amounts to only 3.7 percent compared to 2011. Among the group of foreign-born persons, on the other hand, the number of suicides increased by 10.3 percent last year, while the corresponding increase among those born in Sweden was 2.8 percent.
