The models are characterized by a number of features, which in turn can be subdivided into several groups: geodynamic (tectonic, volcanic), formational (facies-formational), stratigraphic, lithologic (facies-lithologic), magmatic, geologic structural (to describe ore-bearing geological structures), morphostructural, heavy-concentrate mineralogical, ore-mineralogical, mineralogic-geochemical (formations, facies of metasomatic rocks associated with mineralization), geochemical (hydrochemical, exogenic and endogenic haloes), geophysical, and auxiliary. The model of each class from the hierarchy, metallogenic province – zone – subzone – region of ore deposits – ore field – ore deposit – orebody, has a set of specific features which make forecasting and prospecting surveys expedient.
