Cultural tourism drives local development, especially in culturally rich regions like Soukahras (Algeria) and El Kef (Tunisia). These areas possess vast historical and cultural heritage, offering strong potential for sustainable ecotourism that benefits both the environment and local communities. By protecting natural and cultural resources, they can attract visitors seeking authentic experiences. This study analyzes current sustainable tourism practices, highlights successful strategies, and proposes practical solutions for sector growth while ensuring that local populations gain fair economic and social benefits through a balanced, community-centered tourism model.
