Sales volume alone often provides a misleading assessment of business performance for distributors with diverse product portfolios. This project evaluates product-level and division-level profitability for Nassau Candy Distributor using margin-based financial metrics. By analyzing gross margin, profit contribution, cost structure, and margin volatility, the study identifies high-performing products, margin-risk products, and structurally underperforming divisions. The findings support data-driven decisions related to pricing optimization, cost control, and product portfolio rationalization.
