As a major manifestation of economic globalisation, the global value chain (GVC) increasingly exhibits a complex network structure, yet its connectivity remains underexplored. Using the Asian Development Bank’s multi-regional input-output table, this study visualises cross-border value flows through geographic network mapping and non-ribbon chord diagrams. The results show a ‘tri-polar’ GVC network structure and six blocs, with globalisation-regionalisation interactions in value flows becoming increasingly prominent.
