These findings indicate early subclinical changes in cardiovascular physiology in offspring of women with DM. The differential impacts of diabetes subtypes on newborn BP and strong link to maternal glycemic burden suggest severity and timing of maternal diabetes influence neonatal cardiovascular physiology.
